Hey it’s me, I listen to music a lot. You probably know that already. Anyways, as Loco Mag gears up for the last issue of the spring semester, “Final Destination,” I thought it would be fitting to make yet another playlist. This time, I’ve compiled a list of the best outro tracks on various albums. Songs that leave the listener with a banger, or sometimes a void of emotion that’s only solved by watching the blades of the ceiling fan spin in circles.
The final track is an important one for an artist. It’s often the grand finale of whatever narrative or collection the artist has presented. That being said, there are many different types of outros in music. Some albums, like MF DOOM’s “Operation Doomsday,” end in skits to bring the narrative of the album to a close. Though I do enjoy a good skit (especially MF DOOM’s skits), I will not be including those in this list. Instead, I will be focusing on the songs that leave listeners with something special as they wrap up the album.
Below is the list of some of my favorite final tracks from various albums. I hope you all enjoy, and don’t forget to submit to this issue of Loco Mag by this Sunday at midnight!
