Finals are quickly approach, they’re practically here. As I’m prepping for my finals, I’m binging TV, basically avoiding research, drafts, studying, etc. Even writing this I’m watching binge-worthy Netflix. With the stress of finals, all I really want is winter break, bed, and my Netflix account. With that, I bring you, my top 5 winter-break-binge-worthy-TV-shows according to “My List”

1. “Charmed”  – 1998 to 2006

After watching part 1 of “The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina”, I was craving some more witchy TV, and watching this show made my thirst for magic, demons, and witches satisfied. The three sisters, Prue, Piper, and Phoebe, take names and kick ass. This witchy show, takes mythology from every, highlighting Celtic, and using history from the Salem Witch Trials. The show follows, in short, the complete badass-ery of these sister witches, and honestly, I’ve cried, laughed, cheered, gotten goose bumps, etc, all i have to say is 10/10

2. “Friends” – 1994 to 2004

10 seasons of 22 minute episodes of this show, make Friends a near perfect contender for your winter-break-binge-worthy-TV-show. These six friends offer a relatable experience for nearly every audience member making you find relatable moments, sayings, actions, and interactions with the friends that you have with your friends. And honestly, this show is quite the knee-slapper. 9/10.

3. “Criminal Minds” – 2005 to the present

My all time favorite show, 14 seasons, 306 episodes, an evolving plot, and some great characters. Unlike most crime-tv, “Criminal Minds” is, obviously, about the criminal, not about the detectives or cops or those solving the crime instead, about the why behind these serial killers. Every episode has at least one insightful, real life quotes with a beautiful sunset in the sky with a plane in focus. Solid 12/10.

4. “The Great British Baking Show” – 2010 to the present

Who doesn’t love baking shows and British accents? Well this show has a lot of both. TGBBS teaches a lot about baking, and you get to watch a lot of people make fools of themselves trying to be the best baker. The hosts, Sandi Toksvig and Noel Fielding, are practically comedians that head the show, messing with the bakers, and sometimes breaking things laying around the tent. 8/10.

5. “Black Mirror” – 2011 to the present

A modern dystopian fictional series, “Black Mirror” highlights and critiques society at its finest and its worst. The show takes on technology, social media, race, to say the least. The show always has an impactful meaning and is easy to digest, making it one of those complete winter-break-binge-worthy-TV-shows. 8/10, -2 from the lack of episodes.

Now I’m sure you’re already binging something, but when your done that, grab your favorite snack, and hit the search button and give one of these a shot!
