Loco Mag is seeking college-aged writers, photographers, videographers, designers, and interviewers to contribute to our latest issue! Loco is a lifestyle and culture magazine always on the hunt for new articles, photo spreads, and fresh takes from student perspectives. We’re not strictly a news publication. We want to hear your voice and read your stories.
If our next issue wasn’t online, you’d probably want to hide it under your bed. We’re calling it Sex, Lies, and Catfish. What’s the worst lie you ever told? Have you ever felt “cat-fished” by something other than a Facebook profile? Maybe the clothing you bought online was nothing like the picture, or the politician you voted for doesn’t live up to campaign promises. Perhaps you, too, are disgusted with the pervasiveness of sexual harassment in America. Or maybe you simply want to talk about fishing. Feel free to send us your fish pics (but only the keepers).
Our sections include Travel, Lifestyle, AV Room (Audio/Photo/Video), Entertainment, and Features. Features typically run around 1,500 words. Have more than that? Cool! If not, no worries. We’re an electronic publication so space is unlimited. We’ll accept anything from a 250 word photo spread to a 500 word interview to an hour long podcast to a 2-minute video. There’s only one rule: you must be creative.
Your work will need to be submitted no later than April 16, 2018. Send in your submission by clicking “Submit Work” on the Loco home page.
