Loco Mag
is seeking college-age writers, photographers, videographers, designers, and interviewers to contribute to our latest issue! Loco is a lifestyle and culture magazine always on the hunt for new articles, photo spreads, and fresh takes on student perspectives. We do not publish fictional content, but we are not strictly a news publication. We want to hear from you! We want your stories in your voice and your words.

Originating from AAVE (as many terms usually do), a crashout now loosely means to act out of anger without much regard for the consequences. GenZ has now picked it up (stolen?) and popularized the term, using it now as a part of their “slang.” So the question is, when is a crashout valid?

Have an experience where you believe your raw anger was valid? Cussed out your boss before you quit? Broke your monitor after a video game? Punched someone (though I’m not sure how you’d argue that’s ever valid)? Share it with us!

Need more inspiration? Here are a few keywords to inspire you: reasonable anger, mental health, new definition of tweaking, blow up, rage(bait), and whatever else fuels your heart.

Submit your work by November 1st at 11:59 PM. You can submit by clicking the “submissions” tab right below the featured slider on the homepage.

Questions? DM us on Instagram @locomag or send them over to editor@locomag.com. To stay in the know for all things Loco Mag, be sure to follow our pages on Instagram and TikTok. We look forward to receiving your submissions!
