What’s a cheesesteak? A cheesesteak can have many different ingredients but the most known is obviously the meat, cheese, and the roll. The roll must be soft and fluffy to make sure you get the proper taste of the cheesesteak. Definitely can not have too much of just one of the ingredients. If you truly want to know the truth about what I think a cheesesteak is, go listen to my podcast. I talked about cheesesteaks for 30 mins so go listen if you wanna know more!

My buddy Ray and I did the entire podcast talking about what we think a cheesesteak truly is. We both mentioned that any place you know that calls it a Philly cheesesteak should just tell you right then and there that it will completely suck. Just because cheesesteaks are known to originate from Philly doesn’t mean it should be called a PHILLY CHEESESTEAK!!! This is one thing that completely makes Ray and I think about how crazy people can be especially when they call cheesesteaks, PHILLY cheesesteaks.

After that 5 minute long spew of us complaining about how people call cheesesteaks the wrong name. We both explained the proper way to order a cheesesteak because according to Ray I order them wrong. He obviously doesn’t know what he’s talking about. I personally feel like ordering a cheesesteak is pretty simple and people like to make it complicated. Whenever I tell people that aren’t from South Philly they look at me weird with a dirty look when I mention how I order a cheesesteak.  Ray started to talk about all this extra stuff he would add to his. If you put all that extra stuff on it just means the cheesesteak tastes like crap from how it’s originally made. If it tasted good from the start then there’s no need for all that extra stuff. Out of nowhere he just casually mentions how he at times gets mayo too. That just doesn’t sit right with me.

It took Ray and I like an entire 20 mins to stop arguing about how we order cheesesteaks. Eventually, we calmed down enough to talk about the top three favorite places to get cheesesteaks. I started to mention some places I’ve never been to like Delssandro’s. I have heard nothing but good things about them and their cheesesteaks and Ray agreed with that considering he has personally tried them. The places I do consider my top three are different from what most people say usually.

My Top 3 places:

3. Philips Steaks

2. John Roast Pork

1. Campos

Considering cheesesteaks are one of my favorite foods ever especially since it’s such a big delicacy back home in South Philly. Go Listen to the podcast to see why these places are my top 3 places and to hear Rays Top!!!
