As I was going through all the photos I took during the year I spent in London, I started to wonder whether or not I had taken any photos of the same places two years earlier. I wanted to compare the ways the city had changed over time, and I realized the best way to see that was in the street art, something that can change overnight, or remain for years.

I can’t believe I took essentially the exact same photo two years apart without even realizing it.

The paint has started to peel, a representation of the kind of gradual change time brings.

I can’t remember if the octopus dude was still there in the second picture, but Stik is still hanging out in this quiet corner, even if he’s alone now.

Still scary in Shoreditch.
