February, under normal weather related circumstances in the northeastern United States, tends to be pretty cold. In fact, it’s usually goddamn freezing. It’s a time for shivers and shakes, a time to be curled up with some great reading material.

Sub-Zero, our 48th issue, is inspired by just that, and we have some excellent reading material for you. From some of our recurring columns come Eric’s Why Does This Exist? on the subject of movies with a 0% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and another Allora Vs. concerning the differences between Philly and Erie slang. If you’re a longtime reader–or even a new one, hi!–you might be aware that these are the penultimate editions of each of these columns. Crazy stuff. Also ahead this week: Jo’s review of the new Sonic film, a fun one about YouTube subliminal messaging from Belle, and much more.

As always, if you’re looking for something to watch on top of all of that excellent reading material, look out for Danita’s video profiling her hometown. I’m a tough critic, so when I tell you that you won’t want to miss a moment of this issue, I certainly mean it. There are no zeroes here, just a whole lot of heroes. (I…hate that. I’m so sorry.)
