Well, jeez, not to capitalize on a pretty awful situation, but since everyone in the United States is meant to be hanging out inside their houses, there’s never been a better time to check out a new issue of Loco Mag. Nothing seems to feel real right now, if I’m being honest with you all. The activities and routines of our daily lives, not to mention the world economy and world health situation, all seem to look entirely different than what we’re used to. Yesterday, I joked that I’m not even sure what we talked about before the Coronavirus pandemic, but, hopefully, we here at Loco are bringing you something that isn’t that to talk about.
Our 49th issue, aptly and maybe inappropriately given the current circumstances named Fever Dream, comes just at the right moment. Allora’s feature on illness anxiety is one to read and read again. The Loco staff’s dream travel destinations will have you dreaming of post-social distancing society even more than you already are. Jo’s piece on childhood dreams tugs on the heartstrings and reflects on growing up. If you’re more of a watcher than a reader, Allie’s got another great video coming Friday.
