With the eruption of outrage, pain, and sadness on campus after the unveiling of years of mishandled sexual assault cases in the Title IX office and beyond, many LocoMag students felt called to cover this historic moment as honestly and fully as possible.

For this special issue of LocoMag, staff submissions ranged from a comprehensive overview of the Department of Education’s report and student-facilitated walk-out, to pieces from staff members employed by Arcadia to endorse the university, and even comments from students in various years and departments making their voices heard.

We would like to sincerely thank the staff members who pushed to make this happen and contributed time and effort to make sure this issue was properly represented, namely Natalie Tursi, Ethan Rodriguez, Dakota Lewis, and Klaudia Wrona.

While this may be a break from our usual tone and content in some ways, we recognize our platform’s mission to provide unfiltered voices and perspectives, and hope that they may be used to inspire lasting change moving forward.

Jake, Jewel, and the LocoMag staff
