As Jewel and I look back at our time as editors-in-chief of Loco Mag we are left with lots of bittersweet feelings. Sad to leave the Mag behind, but excited to graduate and enter the real world, and excited to get the opportunity to pass it on to other staff members. To me, that dichotomy is the essence of the phrase womp womp.
Issue 77: Womp Womp was a weird theme because I think everybody interprets womp womp a little bit differently, which made for some really interesting articles. Karissa recalled breaking down in the hallway at Oak Summit, Allison wrote about being close to graduating college, despite life’s interruptions, and Patrick wrote about the demise of the Nintendo Network.
We also had lots of outside submissions to womp womp. Haylie wrote about coming close to nationals with the equestrian team, Emily reviewed womp womp playlists on Apple Music, and Jack wrote about things aliens would say womp womp to if they came to earth.
Needless to say, there is a lot of content to check out in this issue. So take a break from studying for finals and have a laugh or two!
