Madonna released the LP Erotica twenty-eight years ago in 1992, and it was one of the most controversial albums ever recorded in pop history.  According to www.madonna.fandom.com, the song “Fever” was going to be “Goodbye to Innocence.”  “Fever” is known to be a replacement for “Goodbye to Innocence” taken from Shep Pettibone Journal of Erotica.  “Fever” is a sensual song with a dance style sound which fits the Erotica album.

“Fever” is the second song on the LP as “Madonna had to change the composition of the original version by adding drum rhythms” according to www.madonna.fandom.com.  The music video for “Fever” is creative and colorful with an artistic dance, but it doesn’t give Madonna her best image in a video.  This song was recorded in April between 10 & 11 in Miami, Florida (www.madonna.fandom.com) and directed by Stephane Sednaoui.  Eventually, this song was donated to the special album “Just Say Roe.”  Yes, the lyrics are originally created by Madonna. In fact, this was the first time Madonna created a music video in front of a “blue screen.”  People think that “Fever” is cheesy but sometimes I can enjoy Madonna’s music enough to even like this particular song. Madonna is talented singer and dancer, but the LP Erotica wasn’t her best-selling album in her career.  Erotica didn’t sell well not because of the song “Fever” and because of that, it was just a very controversial album Madonna recorded back in the early 1990s.
