Loco Mag is seeking college age writers, photographers, videographers, and interviewers to contribute to our upcoming theme! We’re a lifestyle and culture magazine always on the hunt for new articles, photospreads, and fresh takes on student perspectives. We’re not strictly a news publication, nor are we a creative writing publication. We want to hear your voice and read real life, tangible stories.
Our upcoming issue will be called God Tier. We all have strong opinions and hills we’d giddily die on. Whether it’s a fictional series or a professor at school – in every category of life there’s something which looms mile above everything else.
While that was our go-to thought for this theme, other prompts to ponder might be the stories of ancient, forgotten gods, or the world’s hardest video games, or maybe even that supernatural experience you’ve never quite talked about.
If you’re still finding yourself uninspired, boy do we have news for you. Sign up for our newsletter (under “never miss a thing” on the home page), and you’ll find a list of article ideas pitched by our staff in your inbox every month.
Our sections include Features, Travel, Lifestyle, Entertainment, and the A/V Room (podcasts, videos, etc). Features typically run around 1,500 words. Have more than that? Cool! If not, no worries. We’re an electronic publication so space is unlimited. We’ll accept anything from a 250 word photospread to a 500 word interview to an hour long podcast to a 2-minute video. If nothing, follow this phrase: be creative, be real.
God Tier will be releasing twice in March, giving you two opportunities to get your work out there.
