Loco Mag is seeking college age writers, photographers, videographers, designers, and interviewers to contribute to our latest issue! Loco is a lifestyle and culture magazine always on the hunt for new articles, photospreads, and fresh takes on student perspectives. We are not strictly a news publication or a creative writing publication. We want to hear from you. We want your stories in your voice and your words.

November is just around the corner, and for many, that means that Thanksgiving and another holiday season is coming fast. It’s a time for gatherings, whether with family or friends, and traditions and those stupid “Thankful for them<3” Instagram posts. Maybe it’s also the time where you say “Thanks for Nothin’,” as one Bobby Hill did the moment he learned of the imperialist and sort of gross nature of Thanksgiving. What are you not thankful for? Or what are your musings on nothingness, or even the number 4? Whatever it is, send it our way. We want to hear what you have to say.

Our sections include Travel, Lifestyle, AV Room (Audio/Photo/Video), Entertainment, Mood, and Features. Features typically run around 1,500 words. Have more than that? Cool! If not, no worries. We’re an electronic publication so space is unlimited. We’ll accept anything from a 250 word photo spread to a 500 word interview to an hour long podcast to a 2-minute video. Be creative, and tell your truth.

Your work will need to be submitted by Monday, November 4th. You can submit by clicking the “Submit Work” tab at the top of the Loco home page.

Questions? Send them over to editor@locomag.com. Make sure to follow us on Twitter @locomag as well as the rest of our social media for updates and announcements, and we can’t wait to hear from you!
