Loco Mag is seeking college age writers, photographers, videographers, designers, and interviewers to contribute to our latest issue! Loco is a lifestyle and culture magazine always on the hunt for new articles, photo spreads, and fresh takes on student perspectives. We are not strictly a news publication or a creative writing publication. We want to hear from you. We want your stories in your voice and your words.
When suffering from a fever, the high temperature overtaking your body often makes it difficult to sleep peacefully–or even sleep at all. The nature of dreams, in these moments, tends to change, moving into a more emotionally intense or even disturbing phase of sleep disruption. Maybe it wasn’t that scary of a concept when it occurred to us, but the theme of our 49th issue Fever Dream was inspired by all of this. Want to write about the Cranberries or Fleetwood Mac? Your favorite kinds of tea to drink when sick or tips to break a fever? What’s the best dream you’ve ever had? Whatever you’ve got, we want to see it.
Our sections include Travel, Lifestyle, AV Room (Audio/Photo/Video), Entertainment, Mood, and Features. Features typically run around 1,500 words. Have more than that? Cool! If not, no worries. We’re an electronic publication so space is unlimited. We’ll accept anything from a 250 word photo spread to a 500 word interview to an hour long podcast to a 2-minute video. Be creative, and tell your truth.
Your work will need to be submitted by Monday, March 9th. You can submit by clicking the “Submit Work” tab at the top of the Loco home page.
