Loco Mag is seeking college age writers, photographers, videographers, designers, and interviewers to contribute to our latest issue! Loco is a lifestyle and culture magazine always on the hunt for new articles, photo spreads, and fresh takes on student perspectives. We are not strictly a news publication or a creative writing publication. We want to hear from you. We want your stories in your voice and your words.
It’s a new year with a new president and with the start of COVID-19 vaccines being administered, it seems like brighter times are ahead. There’s a lot of hope, but we aren’t out of the woods yet. The staff at Loco Mag has been reflecting on how words like hope and love are four letter words, but so are other, more negative, words we often use to express our frustration with the society we live in. However, we are hopeful that we are slowly moving in the right directions.
With all this in mind, we would like to present Issue #55 “Moving Four-Word”. Any content you have about four-letter words, hope, or heading towards a better future, than we want to publish it!
Our sections include Travel, Lifestyle, AV Room (Audio/Photo/Video), Entertainment, Mood, and Features. Features typically run around 1,500 words. Have more than that? Cool! If not, no worries. We’re an electronic publication so space is unlimited. We’ll accept anything from a 250 word photo spread to a 500 word interview to an hour long podcast to a 2-minute video. Be creative, and tell your truth.
Your work will need to be submitted by Monday, February 8th. You can submit by clicking the “Submit Work” tab at the top of the Loco home page.
