Unfortunately, we all know what it is like to be overwhelmed. It’s a feeling that can absolutely crush you if you let it and it’s really hard not to let it. As we enter the academic year, students especially feel overwhelmed with trying to balance it all. Trying to balance school, work, and your social life just all feels like too much sometimes. You start to wonder if you have this, or if you’re cooked.
The phrase, “Chat, Am I Cooked?” is a phrase that just recently made its way onto the surface of the internet. It’s a phrase that a lot of gen-z uses to express the overwhelming feeling of trying to complete something. Kids might use the phrase when they are about to take a test that they didn’t study for or when they decide to take on a new challenge in life. They might also use it when they realize something is actually much harder than they expected it to be.
For the 79th issue, Loco Mag welcomes any takes on this term. You might want to use this as an opportunity to write about something that’s been really stressing you out or maybe you might want to write about a game that’s hard to beat. Maybe you might want to rant about the Minecraft trailer that came out and talk about how you think that movie is cooked. You could also just want to talk about twitch in general and rate your favorite streamers. Feel free to give us your most-out there topics, humorous or not.
Our sections include Travel, Lifestyle, AV Room (Audio/Photo/Video), Entertainment, Mood, and Features. Features typically run around 1,500 words. Have more than that? Cool! If not, no worries. We’re an electronic publication so space is unlimited. We’ll accept anything from a 250-word photo spread to a 500-word interview to an hour-long podcast to a 2-minute video. Be creative, and tell your truth.
