Loco Mag is seeking college-age writers, photographers, videographers, designers, and interviewers to contribute to our latest issue! For those who aren’t familiar with our work,  Loco is a lifestyle and culture magazine always on the hunt for new articles, photo spreads, and fresh takes on student perspectives. We are not strictly a news publication or a creative writing publication. We want to hear from you!  We want your stories in your voice and your words.

As we look forward to the next year of Loco Mag content, we can’t help but reflect on the good times we’ve had over the years. We recently said goodbye to our beloved Co-editor in Chiefs, alongside a handful of dedicated staff members, and it’s been a rollercoaster ride trying to figure out what to do next.

As I, and my fellow EIC step into this role, we understand that not everything will be the same as it’s always been for Loco Mag. Not to mention, the reflection that this is our last year with Loco, our last year in college, and with that, comes our newest 78th issue, “Ever After!”

“Ever After” is usually the phrase that follows a fairytale, but usually it’s a happily ever after. However, we know as college-aged individuals that life isn’t always about happy endings. Things change, people move on and that’s life. But for our upcoming issue, we’re inviting you to think about the “Ever After” in your life, whether they’re happy or otherwise!

Change is the most natural thing in life, but that doesn’t mean it’s always easy. For those experiencing a shift in their life, feel free to share your experiences! There might be someone out there who feels the exact same way, you never know!

Our sections include Travel, Lifestyle, AV Room (Audio/Photo/Video), Entertainment, Mood, and Features. Features typically run around 1,500 words. Have more than that? Cool! If not, no worries. We’re an electronic publication so space is unlimited. We’ll accept anything from a 250-word photo spread to a 500-word interview to an hour-long podcast to a 2-minute video. Be creative, and tell your truth.

Submit your work by Sunday, July 28th at 11:59pm. You can submit by clicking the “submissions” tab right below the featured slider on the homepage.
