When I first joined Loco, it never occurred to me that I’d be publishing my final issue for it someday— and it definitely never occurred to me that I’d be publishing it as Editor-in-Chief. It’s a bittersweet feeling; I’m proud of everything we’ve made, and I’m so excited to introduce this issue especially, because I think we’ve put together some of the most creative and ambitious projects I’ve seen since joining Loco, but there’s still a little part of me that wants to put off posting this goodbye.

Of course, I honestly don’t know where I would be if it weren’t for my co-editor-in-chief Danita, or the help of our incredible executive team, Ryan and Belle. They’ve been such wonderful friends along the way, and I’m delighted to have met them because I love being around them and I can’t wait to see what they do next. And, of course, I am so lucky to have had such an amazing staff who have really rolled with every single thing we’ve thrown at them. There was extra work this semester, but we still managed to publish our usual number of issues on top of hosting two events, planning an entire gallery, a print edition, and, of course, the Loco anniversary event (April 30th from 3-6 at Murphy!)

That’s enough being sappy. Buckle in for Issue #64, Choose Your Own Adventure, and let Jake lead you through a tour of Philly, listen to the Adventure Time themed playlist Lauren made, check out Jewel’s photo essay about her travels, and, of course, Choose Your Own Article!

In Choose Your Own Adventure, Loco Mag leans into the idea that life is what you make of it. Adventure is as extreme or mundane as you’d like it to be. So, with the heavy knowledge that this is my last adventure with Loco Mag, I invite you to join us in choosing what’s next.

And, once again— Thanks for reading.
