For this edition of Triple B, I hit up 3 local thrift stores to see where I could get the most bang for my buck. The mission? Obtain one shirt, one art piece, one mug, and one book from every location for under $10. Which shop came out on top? Read on to find out!

Bryn Athyn Thrift Shop (510 Tomlinson Road, Bryn Athyn, PA 19009)

Located in an old (and almost certainly haunted) barn, Bryn Athyn Thrift Shop had a wide variety of clothing, furniture, books, and other knickknacks. My haul from there included:
Meaty by Samantha Irby ($1.00)
Philadelphia 76ers t-shirt ($3.00)
San Francisco mug ($0.50)
Abstract painting ($1.00)
Grand Total: $5.50

New Life Thrift (800 North Easton Road, Glenside, PA 19038)

Though I had to park my mini van at the realtor’s office down the street to access it, New Lift Thrift was sick. If I’m ever in the market for anything from mom jeans to vintage glassware, I’m headed back here. My haul from there included:
The Family Upstairs by Lisa Jewell ($2.00)
Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl t-shirt ($4.00)
Mug ($1.00)
Tree canvas art ($3.00)
Grand Total: $10.00

Throw Back Thrift (1344 Easton Road, Abington, PA 19001)

The smallest of the stores I visited, Throw Back Thrift still had a nice selection of items. Better yet, their proceeds benefit local animal rescues! My haul from there included:
The Year of Magical Thinking by Joan Didion ($2.00)
Cape Cod t-shirt ($3.00)
MOMA mug ($1.00)
Charleston print ($2.00)
Grand Total: $9.00

When all was said and done, I spent $24.50 as part of my grand thrifting expedition. The clear winner was Bryn Athyn Thrift Shop, as it was the quirkiest (and cheapest) of all of my stops. Until next time, I’ll be sipping coffee from these sick mugs, lounging around in some thrifted tees, and attempting to hang my new wall art. Happy thrifting!
