By the time you reach the sixth floor of the museum your legs are likely not very happy with you. Oh, but it was worth it. You encounter many gems in the upper floors, like an upper room with more of Mercer’s tile work tucked away and the stairs that his dog Rollo personalized himself. In one of the uppermost towers you even find the old Bucks County gallows and capital punishment room, if you’re intrigued by that kind of thing.
After seeing all there is to see up here, your hard work is rewarded with a view down at all the floors of the museum. You stop to look in awe, or perhaps wonder why anyone would decide to hang chairs from the ceiling, before taking on the dreaded task of walking back down six floors worth of staircases.
