1. The Basic of Basic: Scrambled
    • Scramble them on their own, with cheese, or many other various kinds of ingredients like mushrooms or ham
    • There are all kinds of different versions of the state of cook-ness of eggs. Some people like to mix their eggs with milk to make them fluffier, some people like their eggs cooked dry and some like them soft, the possibilities are endless
  2. Hard-Boiled
    • Boil with the shell on, peel and enjoy
  3. Poached
    • Crack your egg into boiling water, cook for a few minutes, then let sit in the hot water for about 10 minutes
    • There is so much you can do with poached eggs; the best is eggs benedict with a hollandaise sauce
  4. Over-Easy/Sunny Side Up/Dippy/Fried Egg
    • Sunny Side up is an unflipped egg with a runny yellow yolk and barely cooked whites
    • An over easy egg is flipped for a few seconds to get the thin film over the yolk
    • All four of these terms are used interchangeably though
  5. Over-Hard
    • This is the same as the grouping above, but the egg is flipped and the yolk is completely cooked so it’s not runny or messy and no toast is required
  6. Omelet
    • We all know what an omelet is
    • Very low maintenance and you don’t have to worry about any of that flipping a wiggly yolk nonsense
  7. Frittata/Quiche
    • An egg bake in pie form that usually includes other ingredients like cheese, vegetables, and/or meat
    • A frittata usually doesn’t have a crust, where a quiche does (a flakey, buttery goodness)
  8. Egg Bakes
    • There are all kinds of scrambled egg/breakfast bakes. This usually means that eggs are thrown together with other breakfast foods all in one pan or dish
  9. Soft Boiled Eggs
    • Eggs are boiled like a hard-boiled egg, but less time so the yolks are more runny
  10. Egg Muffins
    • They’re like a bite sized personal frittata in a muffin shape
  11. Crepe Like Omelets to use like wraps
    • Cook your omelet like a thin pancake and use it to wrap around your usual wrap toppings
  12. Egg Sandwiches
    • The basic breakfast sandwich; a bagel or muffin or any type of bread with eggs and cheese and goodness inside; pure heaven
  13. Egg Toast/Nest Egg
    • Cut a circle hole in the center of your piece of bread, cook it a little in a frying pan, crack your egg into said hole and cook your egg like this. The best way to have toast with your eggs
  14. French Toast
    • The toast is made French by being covered in egg, so this is a way to cook eggs right?
  15. Egg Fried Rice
    • Stir Fry with eggs cooked into it, a great masterpiece
  16. Boujee Eggs on Toast
    • All these cute expensive breakfast/brunch/lunch places are now selling eggs on fancy bread with avocado and such, making it so much more fancy than it needs to be. But still tasty.
  17. Deep Fried Eggs
    • You can deep fry anything
  18. Pickled Eggs
    • I love pickles, but pickled eggs are not the same thing. So not the same thing. They’re purple and funky and not my cup of tea. But hey, maybe you’ll like them
  19. Deviled Eggs
    • A very popular snack for holiday gatherings. I have family members who will inhale a whole tray on their own
    • Basically, a glorified hard-boiled egg
  20. Egg Salad
    • Hard-boiled eggs smashed up with mayonnaise and such that you can make into sandwiches
  21. Apparently, Spaghetti with Eggs is a Thing?
    • It’s very self-explanatory, you cook over-easy eggs and then put them in spaghetti with red sauce? Not sure how I feel about this
  22. Breakfast Pizza
    • Like a breakfast bake, but you put your eggs, cheese, and toppings on a pizza crust and bake it
  23. Egg Tacos
    • Scramble some eggs and put them inside a hard taco shell with salsa and such (in soft taco shells they’re called breakfast burritos)
  24. Eggs on Burgers
    • My brother’s favorite. An over-easy egg on top of a juicy burger that is the perfect blending of many meals
  25. Egg Nog
    • I quite enjoyed the Wikipedia definition that popped up with Egg nog: “historically also known as milk punch or egg milk punch, is a rich, chilled, sweetened, dairy-based beverage. It is traditionally made with milk, cream, sugar, whipped egg whites, and egg yolks”. A complete overview that makes it sound much less gross than it is
  26. Custard
    • Heat eggs and milks together, but don’t boil. Freeze and enjoy, but it’s not ice cream
  27. Raw Egg in a Glass
    • Much more popular with our parents and grandparents, but it makes you strong and healthy apparently. Just crack your egg in a glass and drink it. Try not to worry about salmonella
