Eating Raw Foods Has Its Benefits And Risks

There are numerous diets that Americans get involved with throughout their lives and some are more popular than others.  According to www.healthline.com , one diet people are trying involves just simply eating raw foods. Raw food  has good benefits because it can be good for your heart. Also, a raw diet can be  beneficial because people believe it is good for the environment. In addition, a raw diet has its place in history as it goes back to the 19th century.  Author Alina Petre writes an article, “How to Follow a Raw Vegan Diet:  Benefits and Risks” and explains how this diet reduces the risk of someone dying from a heart attack by 42%.

A raw diet includes eating whole plant foods and this helps people digestive systems greatly.  It’s important to note that this type of diet, raw diet, greatly reduces the risk of getting type 2 diabetes.  However, the potential risks a raw diet is great especially when it is not planned out correctly. You have to be very careful. This particular diet, raw diet, discourages the use of iodized salt.  Another risk of only eating a raw diet is that it causes a great amount of tooth decay.

To follow a Raw Vegan Diet or Raw Diet all animal products must be avoided.  Grains and legumes are included in this diet but they must be soaked or sprouted before eating.  A list of foods to eat include: Fresh, dried, juiced or dehydrated fruits, Raw, juiced or dehydrated vegetables, Raw nuts, and even seaweed is included in this diet. Basically, a Raw Vegan Diet, or Raw Diet, it is all fruits and vegetables, nuts, seeds and sprouted grains or legumes. My advice to somebody before starting a Raw Vegan Diet would be to make sure that the food that you’re eating provides enough daily calories. Plus, I would add supplements to make sure you are getting all your daily nutrients daily basis. Overall, a Raw Diet is popular among people worldwide and could help someone live a long life.
